From the bottom of the pyramid .....
Shaldon Villa had their match with Lakeside Athletic postponed. I presume COVID.
Liverton Women now playing at a higher level lost 3-2 away to Feniton. Not too bad.
Feniton are in the women's F.A.Cup next week and maybe Liverton will be in for 2022/23.
Bideford had a very bad start at home to AFC St Austell as they lost 5-0.
Exeter Women earned a creditable 2-2 draw away at Southampton Women.
Bridgwater also earned a point away from home drawing 0-0 with Gillingham.
Bristol City beat Lewes 2-1 at home after losing to Crystal Palace last week.
The best result for me (of course) was the Arsenal 3 Chelsea 2 win at the EMIRATES STADIUM.
Arsenal have had the advantage of several Champions League ties but Chelsea also left great holes at the back which were exploited by Vivianne Miedema and Beth Mead.
In a tight Women's Super League those three points could prove invaluable at the end of the season but if the current champions are as good as they want to be they can beat us at their place and take the title, always assuming that Manchester City have not already won the league.
The Ladies/Women are off and running. Results are slow in coming like they used to be in the men's leagues but that will change as time goes on.
