From the Dorset Echo:
Weymouth 2-3 Woking - match reaction
WEYMOUTH “failed to deal” with key defensive moments in their 3-2 loss to Woking, manager Brian Stock admitted.
Woking went 2-0 up as Tahvon Campbell scored from a corner and Rohan Ince netted from a move which began with a free-kick.
Tyler Cordner’s bullet header halved the Cards’ lead before Campbell scored his 13th goal of the season on the break.
Andy Robinson’s 91st-minute goal set up a tense finale but Weymouth could not find a leveller as Woking sent the Terras to a third straight Vanarama National League defeat.
Stock told BBC Radio Solent: “When you dissect the three goals, the first has come from a corner where we’ve not marked properly.
“The second’s come from a free-kick where we’ve not set up properly and the third stemmed from a goal-kick.

“It’s three restarts where we knew what they were about. They’re big, strong, they put balls in areas and we failed to deal with that.
“If we’re going to win games of football we can’t afford to let in three goals.”
Stock refused to criticise his players after what he felt was a performance full of endeavour.
He said: “The change of formation, second half, really took the game to Woking.
“We’ve lost the game 3-2, that’s the most disappointing fact, but the majority of those players, if not all of them, can walk off that pitch knowing they’ve tried everything they can to win.
“It’s frustrating. When we went 3-1 down, the whole stadium went flat. You could feel that tension and the nervousness amongst everyone.
“Sometimes those players have got to take ownership and they did that, Andy scored a good goal to make it 3-2 and we’re still raining in shots in the 93rd, 94th, 95th minute.
“When the chips are down and the last results haven’t gone your way, you want players to rise to the occasion.
“Although the performance probably didn’t deserve all the points, I felt the attitude and desire was there for the whole game.”
Stock added: “As the game went on I felt we dictated the tempo and took the game to Woking.
“A change of formation to a back three and the outside centre-halves stepping in caused them problems.
“The impact from subs – Tom Blair, Brandon Goodship, Martell (Taylor-Crossdale) – that was a good contribution.
“Right up until the last minute I felt we were going to get something out of the game. It’s frustrating but we go again.”
Asked if he felt under pressure after two home defeats, Stock said: “I think there’s pressure on a daily basis.
“The pressure is to try and stay up in this division. Prior to Chesterfield and Altrincham, we went five unbeaten and we need to recall upon that.
“We’ve not come off the pitch being outplayed. We’ve conceded three goals through our own downfall.
“Give Woking credit, they’ve got a lot of firepower, they’re strong, they’re big, they know what they’re about and they’ve gone away to Notts County and beat them 4-1.
“You have to give them respect and overall they deserved the three points. We’re not taking anything away from them but going right to the end is all I can ask for.”
