Boxing Day

Christmas day is drawing to its conclusion as various members of the family gradually disappear and I am able to settle down at my computer with the television in the background. The slow ones are just responding to my "Merry Christmas" messages all sent out this morning. It is good to know that people still respond by text if not by Email.

The Turkish Superlig had matches today but they were the only league to stage football on the actual day of christmas so we look forward to tomorrow knowing that Boxing Day is a big day in English football. COVID is not helping the situation, though, so let me trust the BBC (this is soccer after all and not the right wing biased news).

In the Premier League:

Arsenal travel to Norwich at 15:00. Searching for a feed will be the priority.

Brentford travel to Brighton at 20:00. I can watch that on Sky Sports.

I may tune in to BT Sport to watch Bromley v. Southend in the National League at 17:20.

We have to wait till Monday 27th for the Championship match:

Bournemouth are away to Queens Park Rangers.

Back to Boxing Day and Cheltenham take on Plymouth Argyle.

In League Two the match between Exeter and Swindon has been postponed.

Weymouth v. Eastleigh has been postponed.

Bath City travel to Chippenham Town in the National League South.

In the Southern League we have to wait until Monday:

Tiverton Town take on Weston-super-Mare.

Willand Rovers take on Plymouth Parkway.

On Sunday in the Western League:

Exmouth are at home to Bridport.

On Monday in the South West Peninsula League:

Bovey Tracey are away at Newton Abbot Spurs.

After the post christmas couple of days there are a few more matches:

On Tuesday 28th December:

Arsenal are at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Weymouth are away at Yeovil Town.

On Wednesday 29th December:

Brentford are at home to Manchester City (tough one).

Cheltenham are away at Milton Keynes Dons.

Exeter are away at Forest Green Rovers if that one is not postponed.

On Thursday 30th December:

Bournemouth are at home against Cardiff City.

I look forward to the next few days.
