Last night Arsenal played Aston Villa and beat them 3-1. More about that in another post.
Bovey Tracey were also in action and succeeded in beating Sidmouth Town 2-1.
Two wins on a Friday Night is a great start to the weekend for my selections.
Can this continue? The Saturday matches are as follows:
Championship: Bournemouth at home to Huddersfield
League One: Cheltenham away at Doncaster Rovers
League Two: Exeter at home to Mansfield Town
National League: Weymouth at home to Wealdstone
National League South: Bath at home to St Albans City
Southern League Premier South: Tiverton at home to the Metropolitan Police
Southern League One South: Willand away to Winchester City
Western League: Exmouth away to Saltash (match brought forward from 2022)
Devon League: Liverton United away to Alphington
I will also be following matches beneath the football pyramid as the matches below take place in the South Devon League:
Buckfastleigh away to Barton Athletic
Ashburton away to Beesands Rovers
Ilsington away to Newton Abbot Spurs 3rd team
Liverton United 2nds at home against Kingsbridge & Kellaton United
Bovey Tracey 2nds at home against Ivybridge Town 3rd team
From top to bottom every level is covered this weekend.
My Premier League pick, though, have to wait until Sunday at 2:00pm.
Brentford v. Leicester City
Chelsea were lucky last week, but can Leicester survive the Brentford onslaught.
For the WOMEN, England play tonight as they take on Northern Ireland, so as I am an Arsenal supporter I shall be watching the clash between Leah Williamson and Katie McCabe.
There are no matches at the top of the pyramid as a result of the international break.
The remaining fixtures are:
Bridgwater away to Ipswich Town
Exeter at home against Buckland Athletic
Bideford are away against Marine Academy Plymouth
Liverton Ladies are at home against Feniton
Shaldon Villa are away against Halwill
A fully packed weekend for me to keep an eye on. Meantime I think the wife wants me in the garden if the weather stays good and sandpapering the stairs if it does not.
