The Beth Threat for Northern Ireland

England women battered the Northern Ireland penalty area for the whole of the first half and the half ended 0-0. Lauren Hemp created many chances but none of them were converted.

The second half started in similar manner but in the 63rd minute the England manager issued a Beth threat to Northern Ireland by throwing England and Mead into the fray. Those substitutes scored all four goals. England by tapping the ball from the line over the line and Mead by three good shots, her best probably only a minute after she had appeared on the pitch.

You can and should watch the whole match here:

England 4 Northern Ireland 0

This is the best atmosphere I have heard at a womens game and it shows me just how important having a loud crowd is to any football match.

Feel good as an England fan watching an England team.
