Match Report

Willand lose first home match of the season to Sholing, finishing 1-2.

In what was a game between two very equally matched teams Sholing claimed the victory courtesy a a stunning 30yard strike right at the end of the first half.

All the goals came in the first half: Alfie Moulden putting the hosts 1-0 up after 12 minutes, coolly curling a shot into the far corner of the net beyond the reach of the visiting keeper. On 35 minutes Daniel Mason drew the visitors level, getting in front the defenders to glance a cross past George Burton & into the Willand goal.

The goal of the game came on 43 minutes when Bradley Targett struck a beauty from 30 yards into the top corner,  giving Burton no chance.

The second half was a flat affair from the Willand viewpoint, the home side not really creating any clear cut chances to threaten  the visitors. Sholing will contest their game management in the second half saw them through to the final whistle.
