2015-16 Season

The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

Having seen a large hole in the road in Manchester and called it the road to hell I now turn to this blog that I have always intended as a means to attract people to football at the lower levels.

My dream is that you follow teams from different levels of the football pyramid in your area because you are a fan of the sport. Football can be depressing when you turn out in the cold of winter to see your team lose a match they were expected to win, but it can also be a source of great inspiration when you watch a player perform a piece of magic on the pitch.

My selections for this season are similar to before but there are some changes that may be of interest to those who follow the various levels of the most popular sport in the world.

1 = Arsenal in the Premier League
2 = Brentford in the League Championship
3 = Southend United in League One
4 = Exeter City in League Two
5 = Torquay United in the Conference National
6 = Weston-super-Mare in the Conference South
7 = Bideford in the Southern League Premier Division
8 = Tiverton Town in the Southern League South & West
9 = Barnstaple in the Western League Premier Division
10 = Exmouth Town in the South West Peninsula League Premier Division

In past seasons I would have looked at the Western League Division One and this season I checked out the nearest teams, AFC Wellington and Chard, but their websites were too Somerset centric for me to consider them. It's a speedway thing.

If you want to join my quest pick 10 teams of your choice and follow them reporting what you can given the paranoid nature of many footballing directors. Remember that without their money we would not have a sport to watch.
