Last Saturday Brentford took on Blackburn at home and played out a 1-1 draw at half time. The second half saw two more goals scored but as they were one goal apiece the match finished 2-2 which is not the best result for a home match. The goals came from Ivan Toney and Sergi Canos so at least the forwards are putting the goals in but several late substitutions failed to change the course of the game.
On Wednesday the team took on Derby County at home and this time the defence performed better by not letting any goals in. Sadly the forwards did not score any goals either so the two teams played out a 0-0 draw and two points from two home games is not promotion form. Things will need to improve after Christmas.
