Arsenal : Premier League : Tottenham & Dundalk

Son of Kane! What happened when we met Tottenham Hotspur, our arch enemies. Well WE LOST! We were all over them for most of the match like we usually were whenever we took on Manchester United in the old competitive days. They then soaked up all the pressure and scored on the break which is what top teams do to teams that are playing better than they are.

The reserve team took on Dundalk and continued a very successful campaign which saw all matches won in what was admittedly a weak group. Goals came from the forward line as Eddie Nketiah and Folarin Balogun both scored, and they also came from midfield as Joe Willock and Mohamed Elneny both added their names to the scoresheet.

Arsenal are enjoying Thursday nights at the moment. It is the weekends that are inflicting pain on the fans and at any club it is vitally important that the first team leads the way in building confidence. Mikel Arteta seemed to have done a job encouraging stronger defence but we have, as a result, lost the ability to score goals which is the most important thing to any football team.
