In the Western Division of the Joma Devon Women's Football League, Shaldon Villa rose from their previous week's defeat to collect three valuable points from a 1-0 win against a resilient Plainmoor Ladies team.
Despite plenty of possession, a mixture of poor finishing and an inspired display from the Plainmoor 'keeper meant a solitary strike from Lucy Rosser was all that separated the sides at the final whistle.
Activate remain at the top of the table following their 3-1 away win over cross city neighbours Signal Box Oak Villa.
Club stalwarts Steph Warren and Wendy Wise scored a goal each and Tracey Cross added the other one.
Results: Western Division - Signal Box Oak Villa 1-3 Activate, Plainmoor Ladies 0-1 Shaldon Villa.
