Weekend Results

From the top then:

Arsenal were away to Cardiff at 13:30 on Sunday.

Arsenal took the lead during a part of the match where they were in control. Cardiff equalised. Arsenal took the lead again when Aubameyang pounced on a flick from my man of the match Lacazette. Cardiff equalised once again. This was a match where there was divided opinion. Either Arsenal would win or it would be a draw. The truth is that either of these was a possibility. The goal that won the match was a classic strikers goal as Alexander Lacazette turned to strike the ball into the top corner of the net nearside. He seemed happy with that effort and who can blame him? Arsenal are now up and running following those two early defeats. Two wins on the trot have us racing up the table into 9th place. Still above Manchester United. I think Unai Emery has achieved the same as Wenger so far. We can beat all the other teams in the league but we struggle against the top teams. That is the area he has to fix. Mind you, that is the area every manager has to fix and it seems to me that Rafa Benitez is doing the best in that regard.

Brentford beat Nottingham Forest 2-1.

Highlights

Southend lost 2-1 to Charlton Athletic.

Highlights

Exeter lost 3-0 to Lincoln City.

Highlights

Eastleigh lost 4-0 to Harrogate Town.

We are back to the VLOG for Eastleigh

Weston lost 1-0 to Eastbourne Borough but I cannot find any highlights at this point in time.

Tiverton Town beat Beaconsfield 2-0 and although I cannot find a video there are some photographs.

The Photos

Another match I did consider going to was Barnstaple Town but they lost 3-1 to Highworth Town.

Willand Rovers beat Buckland Athletic 1-0 so there is another defeat for one of my teams.

You already know about Exmouth Town from my previous post so that concludes the weekend results.
