This post is in anticipation of the F.A.Vase first qualifying round which takes place on 5th September. The only one of my teams in the first qualifying round is Exmouth Town who are away at Saltash United. It could have been a nice drive down the A38 to Plymouth, over the bridge then brake hard. Unfortunately my daughter is jumping out of an aircraft on Saturday so I have agreed to be there ready to catch her.
Barnstaple receive a bye through to the second qualifying round so will not appear in this competition until 3rd October.
Exmouth lost 1-0 to Saltash on 8th August so I hope they learned a few lessons from that match. Their second match was a defeat to Ivybridge Town but since then they have beaten Launceston and Elburton Villa. Good luck in the Vase Exmouth.
