So by pursuing Twitterdata I found out that Arsenal have had a couple of friendlies since the Community Shield. I guess it is COVID that makes us desperate for information. In past seasons a match without a crowd would not be a friendly as only matches played in front of crowds counted. Now we are desperate to know what is going on it all counts.
On Tuesday 1st September while I was focussed on the F.A.Cup matches Arsenal entertained Queens Park Rangers at the London Colney training ground. We won 4-3 apparently but there was little information about the match.
On Saturday the friendly was played at the Emirates Stadium and we lost 3-2 to Aston Villa. There is a bit more information about this one but the important fact is that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored both of the goals. He is SO important to Arsenal. The second goal came from a penalty but it still has to be placed into the net.
Strange times. I expect to find out about lower league matches after the event but I am normally fully aware of what Arsenal are up to because the media feeds are full of it. Times have changed.
