Championship: Yeovil

My championship choice is based partly on the fact that I watch the play-off match back in May and you can read a little about that and the club if you refer back in this blog.

Yeovil is about an hour and a half away so I should be able to get there as soon as an attractive fixture materialises.

The team have started the season with one win and two defeats.

Premiership: Arsenal

My main team and I cannot stop supporting the good old Arsenal just because we seem to refuse to buy players. I do believe it is because we, as a club, play by the rules and we all know that many deals are done following backhanders and under the table payments.

We started badly, losing to Aston Villa, but any team that have their main centre half sent off are going to struggle. The season starts again today.

Current Table:

New Season

I know the season has now started but I am back from my summer break and have to decide if I am going to stick with my original choice of teams for this season.

Arsenal are a given, despite our problems, as this is and has been my team for years.

So I now have to choose the remaining 9 teams and decide whether Elmore Eagles are still eligible as they have left the league which is one of the recognised 14 level 9 leagues. They are in a Level 10 League and I think I should keep them in as I would like others around the country to identify other leagues that are actually Level 10 ability.

Arsenal to Elmore or Elmore to Arsenal? I think we should turn the tables upside down.

Spartan South Midlands League

The Spartan South Midlands League is a comparatively new league given the history of the game.

I believe that the structure is as follows but feel free to correct me:

Northern League

The Northern League is a feeder to the Northern Premier League and you must not get confused.

I think it is to save confusion that there is no Premier Division in this League. Division One is the "Tops".

The structure I have found is:

9Northern League
Division One

10Northern League
Division Two

It certainly looks unusual so if there are any errors please let me know.
